1. Service Description & Eligibility
ProntoExpat offers informational decision-support tools, including personalised roadmaps and guidance for people moving to Italy.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ProntoExpat. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not independently verify your age unless the law requires us to. You are responsible for account security. Roadmap quality depends on the accuracy of information you provide.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile. Deletion is immediate and permanent with no grace period. If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your ProntoExpat account does not revoke access in your Google or Apple account settings, you may remove the app’s access there separately.
ProntoExpat is an independent product operated by Paolo Ghidoni, Via Trento 15/D, 25128 Brescia, Italy. We are not a government body, a public authority or a public service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by or acting on behalf of the Italian government, the Ministry of the Interior, any Questura, Prefettura or comune, any embassy or consulate or any patronato or CAF. We do not submit applications for you, contact authorities on your behalf, book appointments in your name or influence any decision about your case. Only the competent authority can decide your case and only official channels can process it. We provide informational support so that you can deal with those channels yourself.
2. No Legal or Professional Advice
ProntoExpat provides informational guidance only. We do not provide legal, immigration or tax advice and do not replace qualified Italian professionals (avvocati, notai, commercialisti). No professional-client relationship is created.
The app does not determine whether a specific person qualifies for a visa or permit. It does not cover all permit categories, exceptions or special tracks (for example EU Blue Card, ICT intra-corporate transfer or protection statuses). It does not distinguish all legal subtypes (for example familiare al seguito versus ricongiungimento familiare). The grouping of situations into roadmaps and phases is a product simplification, not a legal determination.
3. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for verifying guidance against official Italian government sources, ensuring quiz answers are accurate and any decisions you make based on the roadmap.
4. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Processes and administrative practices vary by region, Questura and comune. Individual cases can differ from general guidance. We do not guarantee successful residency or visa outcomes, acceptance by authorities or processing timelines. Always verify guidance against current official sources before relying on it.
5. Notifications (In-App and Push)
Premium users may access an in-app notification inbox, save guides and articles to a personal Saved list, and, if they opt in, push alerts about their roadmap, for example approaching administrative deadlines.
Push alerts require explicit in-app consent (off by default) and a separate permission on your device. You can disable push in Profile → Notifications.
All notification content is informational guidance only. It does not constitute legal, immigration or tax advice. Deadlines and timings may vary by Questura, comune or individual circumstances. Working-day counts use estimated national holidays only; local patron feast days and comune closures are not included. Always verify dates with the competent authority. We do not guarantee that reminders arrive before a real-world deadline or that following them ensures a successful outcome.
We may change notification rules, frequency or availability with reasonable notice where required by law.
6. Automated Roadmaps
Your roadmap is produced by automated, rule-based logic from your triage answers, not by an in-app AI chatbot. Guides and articles in the app may be drafted or localized with AI-assisted tools and are human-reviewed. Content may contain errors or become outdated. Always verify with official sources.
7. Future Features
We may introduce additional features over time. Optional product analytics (PostHog) is described in the Privacy Policy, requires your opt-in and can be disabled anytime in Profile → Analytics; crash diagnostics via Sentry are not product analytics. When we add other features, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy and provide any notices or consents required by law.
8. Acceptable Use
Use ProntoExpat lawfully and in line with these Terms. Do not misuse the service, provide deliberately false information or attempt to circumvent security.
9. Payments & Refunds
During the founder launch period, eligible users may receive Premium access at no charge. We may change or end this offer with reasonable notice where required by law.
When we offer paid Premium in the app, it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not renew automatically. The price, including applicable taxes, is shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on your device, and purchases are validated through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We do not ask you to waive any statutory right. Your rights under EU consumer law are unaffected. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies and you can request one directly through the store. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at ordinaedev@gmail.com and we will help.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProntoExpat is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including missed appointments, lost income, travel costs or residency outcomes).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Italian law. Your mandatory rights as a consumer, including the statutory remedies if the service does not match its description, are unaffected.
11. Service Availability & Termination
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We use Sentry, a third-party crash-monitoring service, to collect diagnostic information when the app fails. This helps us fix bugs and maintain reliability. It is not product analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details. We will try to notify users of planned maintenance when possible.
This agreement runs for an indefinite period until it ends. You can end it at any time by deleting your account in Profile, at no cost and without giving a reason; deletion permanently erases your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms and we will tell you why in advance where we reasonably can.
12. Changes to These Terms and the Service
We may update these Terms for legal, service or business reasons. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
We may also change the service itself where there is a valid reason, for example to reflect a change in Italian procedures, to comply with the law or for technical or security reasons. Updates that simply keep the service working as described are free of charge. If a change goes beyond that and negatively affects how you use the service, we will notify you in advance in the app or by email and you may end this agreement free of charge within 30 days of that notice.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
You may bring proceedings against us either in the courts of your place of residence or in the courts of Brescia, Italy. We will bring any proceedings against you only in the courts of your place of residence.
